The file /etc/gss/mech.d/mech.ntlmssp.conf should be created during installation with the contents being the following line
gssntlmssp_v1 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.2.2.10 /usr/lib/gssntlmssp/gssntlmssp.so
This is so that PowerShell knows that the library is installed and that it can use it for the PSSession authentication.
Not sure where the number comes from, but this worked for me for the package that is installed at the time of this writing.
