I switched it over to my theme.

New things are this:

The theme is now called NumixSolarized, not Numix Solarized Light.
The dark variant is called NumuxSolarizedDark, not Numix Solarized.

This means, you'll have to re-select it in whatever app you use for that (lxappearance or similar).

Else it should be pretty similar and work with gtk-3.20

Okay, you are now the maintainer of this package, whether you want to or not.

I recreated this theme from scratch with a few minor changes (green selection highlight instead of blue) by forking off the Numix repo, pulling new changes in from time to time.

Here's the repo:
Here's my PKGBUILD for it:

I'd be interested in maintaining this package.

I also intend to make a -git AUR package for this. (PKGBUILD for that:

If anyone knows how to do gtk themes, feel free to take control of this package

I believe this theme requires a recompilation, now after the GTK update.

EDIT: Nevermind, that's not needed.

@divansantana I had the same text box issue on firefox before it went to gtk3. Now I can't seem to get this theme loaded for gtk3 (but I haven't exactly spent much time trying yet), so I'm not sure if it's still an issue with gtk3.

Just to add that the numix-solarized/archive/ install on the Linux Mint 17.3 referred to MATE flavour.

Thank you very much for all your hard work - really love the solarized dark theme.
[BTW - Numix Circle icons complement this theme perfectly].
So used
and .
The theme is the improved :) properly dark version of the theme (eg. the left menu side panels are dark green etc...

Have even installed it on another machine running Linux Mint 17.3 .
-Unzipped the into /usr/share/themes
-Installed set of icons - the Numix Circle from the above git:
use apt-get (Linux Mint):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme-circle
OR just put the icons folders like so:
[apt-get also installs /usr/share/icons/Numix-Circle-Light - only used
the first one - ie. the Numix-Circle).
-As ****sudo**** ie with elevated privilages launch Mint's
Control Centre > Appearance (the new solarized dark theme and the icons are visible there - so set the new theme/icons - ie to get system-wide theme).
-Would probably also work with putting the theme folder in ~/.themes and the icons folder in ~/.icons - but I haven't tried this second way.
-At this point Linux Mint's menu background was still ugly and unusable grey. To fix this:
Right click Start > Preferences > Theme . Here, UNCHECK 'Use custom colors' and make sure the theme selected is our Numix Solarized.

> Love the dark theme! Thanks for the update.
Your welcome. I don't have much time to work on the themes myself but if anyone issues a pull request on the github repo I'll do my best to get them merged.

Love the dark theme! Thanks for the update.

Only place I notice an issue with the dark theme is with icecat (suppose firefox is the same?), in that tex boxes are dark, and the text is in black which makes it hard to read.

Pidgin text box is dark but font is light which is great.

Anyone else got this issue?
I've tried various default icecat skins etc.
