for tint2 do as i wrote here install it in /usr/shara/tint2/windows10.tint2rc This is theme / configuration for tint2 and it should be in system tint2 directory... Add note after installation (something like this): "Theme for tint2 can be found in /usr/shara/tint2/windows10.tint2rc you can use it with tint2conf or simple copy it to ~/.config/tint2/tint2rc" changing anything in user home directory is bad. And you did it without any backup of original file... So if you still want to change users files please make some backup copy of originals... ---- Their manual is for people who wants to change tint2 theme to their.. but don't know how or what to do. ---- "I just thought the tint2rc file was meant for Openbox, since usually Openbox is used with tint2." - OK, now you know Openbox is Openbox and Tint2 is Tint2. ---- i don't know a lot of about packaging yet...

I'm testing for Openbox, because of this line on the release. Windows 10 Transformation Pack on Openbox session. To customize the tint2 panel, we have included our tint2rc file. Simply place it in ~/.config/tint2 and log out to apply changes. I just thought the tint2rc file was meant for Openbox, since usually Openbox is used with tint2. I'm going to be updating all of these packages to a split package. I'll just break the tint2rc file off into another package. For split packages if a package in the split package has a different version number, do I just update the pkgver on that indidivual package? For instance the gtk theme is on v0.9, and icon theme is on v0.3

you should install tint2rc into /usr/share/tint2/windows10.tint2rc and add note after installation that they can change tint2 theme with tint2conf another thing... Why are you testing if the OpenBox is installed?? OpenBox has nothing to do with tint2.

Sorry, how should I go about installing the tint2rc file then?

What do you think Who you are?? Changing user settings in HOME directory while installing package is unforgivable!

@edh you mean add the change log in from Gnome Look, as a comment?

edh commented on 2015-12-08 21:14 (UTC) (edited on 2015-12-08 21:14 (UTC) by edh)

@zerophase Actually gnome-look's download link is just a nicer github redirect (at least in this case), it is therefore identical to downloading it from github directly. Btw. if you have some time to spare and am interested in doing some extra tweaking you might want to add the changelog from the repo [0] to this package. [0] https://github.com/Elbullazul/Windows-10

@edh Thanks. I was trying to figure out how to download the current release from Gnome Look. Didn't realize there were other releases on Github.

You mixed up the source array :P It should probably look something like this: source=("https://github.com/Elbullazul/Windows-10/releases/download/v0.8/Windows.10.Light.v0.8.SP1.zip") The checksum is just fine...
