@Sven I'm not familiar with ghdl, but I just checked several other distros, including Fedora and Ubuntu, and all of them have the ghwdump exectuable in their gtkwave package.

Different people have told me that ghwdump is currently maintained by the GHDL developers. In that light, I would personally vote to remove ghwdump from gtkwave instead. I contacted the ghdl-llvm-git maintainer here on AUR, I hope an agreement can be reached.

@Sven I would suggest request packaging changes on ghdl-llvm-git's side. From what I can see, community/gtkwave also contains /usr/bin/ghwdump and community/ghdl-llvm doesn't. I think it's better to be consistent with packages from official repos.

This package contains /usr/bin/ghwdump, and ghdl-llvm-git does too. So both cannot be installed at the same time. However, I am told that both (ghdl and gtkview) and typically used together.
