I've got problem with starting GW:
# Problematic frame:
# C [] __lll_unlock_elision+0x20

I have Intel CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1240 v3 @ 3.40GHz
and I have installed microcode (and I've checked if it is loaded).

Is there any chance that I can run GroupWise without recompiling lib32-glibc with `--disable-lock-elision` ?

Good the "hear" that. I added you as comaintainer anyway.

debugrr commented on 2016-03-14 20:31

microcode fixed the '--disable-lock-elision' requirement for me. So no need to upload a package.

You can definitely add me to the comaintainer list.

apparently my trouble with lib32-glibc is an issue with the haswell microcode.

I'll try to fix that.. so I don't have to keep recompiling lib32-glibc

@debugrr, feel free to upload. Would you also want to comaintain the gwclient PKGBUILD so you can make desired adaptations?

lib32-glibc -- I was thinking of posting a package on AUR for lib32-glibc with '--disable-lock-elision' as opposed to '--enable-lock-elision'

would anyone be interested? or would I basically be doing it for myself?

Calendar only works with JRE 6

fuero commented on 2015-09-22 07:41

Seems to work, except that the calendar isn't showing. It just prints "Loading..." and keeps loading forever.
I tried different JREs without any effect.

just for helping someone I post my experience dealing with PKGBUILD.
1. I need java32-runtime to make a "makepgk -s" on gwclient.
2. For java 32-runtime I had to install java32-common and bin32-jre.
3. Sometimes "makepkg -s" didn't work, I had to use "pacman -U <packagename.xz> instead to make it work. (got java32-runtme dependency error from gwclient, the bin32-jre was theoretically installed though -makepkg -s -).

TIP: after bin32-jre installed with "pacman -U "said that my default environment Java is 32-bit JRE.

Only AFTER that, I could make a "makepkg -s" on gwclient.

Change --enable-lock-elision to --disable-lock-elision in the lib32-glibc PKGBUILD.

Fixed My gwclient crashing issue.
