This package should have the -bin suffix instead of -desktop.

hakuneko-bin

Also having the same problem as @pr3martins and @sTiKyt.

Unsafe but adding --no-sandbox fixed it according to:

https://github.com/manga-download/hakuneko/issues/4397

Also using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 and might be driver-related.

@pr3martins does it also crash on environments other than KDE?

@pr3martins I can't seem to reproduce this. What's your desktop, compositor, and GPU? I've seen this reported elsewhere as well.

I'm having the same issue as @sTiKyt

Fontconfig warning: "/usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail/05-reset-dirs-sample.conf", line 6: unknown element "reset-dirs"
[48793:0425/112631.769059:FATAL:gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc(894)] The display compositor is frequently crashing. Goodbye.

Also consider using bin/hakuneko as well

eNV25 commented on 2022-04-18 12:37 (UTC)

please pass arguments to the application in bin/hakuneko-desktop

#!/bin/sh
exec /usr/lib/hakuneko-desktop/hakuneko "$@"

@sTiKyt

Package isn't out of date (AFAIK) and it's working fine for me. The issue is probably on your end.
