Done it. saves, logs and errors are stored in $XDG_DATA_HOME/Hammerwatch or $HOME/.local/share/Hammerwatch if $XDG_DATA_HOME is not defined. @duthils: You'll need to move your saves directory accordingly.

I noticed, too. I'm working on a startup script to take care of that. Unfortunately it seems the game requires (or at least requests) write access to the level files, which intuitively makes no sense at all.

Thanks for the package. The game launches fine, but I could not start playing without changing permissions though: chgrp -R games /opt/hammerwatch chmod -R g+w /opt/hammerwatch
