Looks like the tar doesn't unpack as expected

Maybe you can write a pkgver() function that asks Git how many commits there have been since the last tagged version.
That way we could have a proper version number like 0.6.0pre35

When downloading it from github and sha256sum the tar I get 'cad4462851226e523c568cf1d63fd8160cb3c3aa9c5183919b6cbb57a7263fd0'. With that install works at the moment.
