Could I be added as a co-maintainer on this package? It's blocking the build of taffybar at the moment.

I edited the git patch in a text editor to remote the "package.yaml" part, and now it applies cleanly. Also, I added "text" to the dependencies in the .cabal file with sed. Here is the result: https://gist.github.com/LeifW/e5ec394c8cf24a4fbf8b87fe59065425

There's a PR to allow this to build with the new dbus-1.2.1: https://github.com/IvanMalison/status-notifier-item/pull/3

But that git commit can't just be applied as a patch to the tarball - the git repo doesn't have a .cabal file, instead it has a package.yaml, which is what I edited. You use "hpack" to generate a .cabal file from the package.yaml, which ends up in the tarball. Maybe we could just make a new patch.

(You can git a patch from any commit on github by appending .patch to the URL, FYI.)
