Update: The upstream pre-rewrite branch was the old master branch before the rewrite. Unfortunately, it fails to build.

@rien333: highscore 40.0 and gnome-games 40.0 are virtually identical, anyway.

https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/highscore/-/archive/40.0/highscore-40.0.tar.gz returns a 404 now, probably related to the rewrites.
This a working URL with some archival copies, but these predate the rebrand:

Kodi addons are for Kodi.
Are those actually libretro cores? I thought they shipped as *.so's.Do Kodi addons actually work with this?

@MischiefTomato: It was recently fixed in this commit.
EDIT: I'd say just use gnome-games as this is identical right now. Arch has a patch for it as well as a patch to user tracker3 instead of the deprecated tracker: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/tree/packages/gnome-games/trunk

it fails to build with:
highscore-40.0/data/meson.build:47:0: ERROR: Function does not take positional arguments.
