Upstream confirmed, --program-suffix isn't implemented. I'll be working on the build system to add --program-suffix and to not install over itself silently (though maybe I did something weird with my configuration awhile ago).

It looked OK when I tested it. And if --program-suffix is being ignored, this needs to be reported to upstream. Please don't call so quickly for package deletion. There is a need for this for co-installation situations which the other packages do not satisfy.

This PKGBUILD (1) does not work [--program-suffix is ignored by configure] and (2) does not comply with AUR guidelines [no duplicate packages]
