it is showing an error $ sudo hosts-update :: Getting bad actors list from winhelp2002.mvps.org [DONE] :: Merging and writting / etc / hosts [BUSY] tail: invalid number of lines: “+”

to work, it is necessary to change the file / usr / bin / hosts-update, on line 142 and change curl -C - -s http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt> /tmp/hosts.txt for curl -C - -s https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt> /tmp/hosts.txt

claire ~/Builds/hosts-update (git)-[master] % makepkg -o ==> ERROR: url should not be an array With pacman 5, I think that you should remove the brackets around the url entry. So it should be url="https://github.com/graysky2/hosts-update"

Uh, yes. Probably a good idea. It would be neat if you could include systemd timers in the package. Monthly sounds good to me.

Daily updates are wasteful... Set your frequency to weekly or monthly.
