Since rel 2 of 5.1.00:
hidtcl was provided by upstream author. HP-15CE connection should work, if hidapi is also installed.
Known limitation of this package: 'graphic display' instead custom font is not (yet) supported, because a proper build of tkpath library from tcl3d.org would be required for this feature.

Known limitation of version 5.1.00:
HP-15CE connection is currently not working, because a hidtcl package is missing from upstream source archive hp15c-5.1.00.zip

I have to stress the point that I like it myself so much too !
I used to install it manual from Torsten's site, but having it in AUR and letting pamac take care of the rest is so much comfort ;)

Glad you like it @Auerhuhn! The credit goes to Torsten (upstream), drop him a line, he'd like that.
Thanks for the feedback, I've added
unziptomakedependsand updated the URL. Enjoy~Auerhuhn commented on 2025-05-19 12:40 (UTC)
Hi @qguv,
thanks for maintaining this PKGBUILD. Saved me a hundred bucks on the real thing!
Would you mind adding
unziptomakedepends? That way, your PKGBUILD can also build in a clean chroot. While you’re at it, consider fixing the
urlfield, too; it points to a non-existing site.Regards
Claudia

@qguv : Thank you very much, I will try it - I have installed it manually on this machine so I need to do some manual cleanup first...

@petaramesh: the project's author has re-hosted the source so it can be downloaded without user interaction. I've updated the version, link, and checksums, so it should be good now. Feel free to comment if you encounter any more trouble.

Thanks for the report, @petaramesh.
It looks like Google Docs, which the project's author uses for hosting the source, no longer offers a way to download files without user interaction. I've contacted the author upstream for an alternative, and will update the package if such an option becomes available.

Zip file checksum verification fails. Marking obsolete.
