I need to apologize. I'm installing hpoj in two different machines, and in one of them the base-devel was nor insttalled. After install, everything runs smoothly. Thanks for your attention.

@jrborba: Your error message says that it can't find patch, which is provided by patch (the arch linux package for it in the repos). patch is also part of base-devel. Do you have either patch or the whole base-devel group installed?

Adopting package and turning off the qt3 portion of the package. Let me know if anyone wants the qt3 portion turned on again.
