Have you already looked into the patch and see if you can change the values for some of the colour codes?

Load average value is not visible, then user "root" for processes which are running under root. Numbers for indicating SWAP usage/total are broken too.

Unfortunately I use Solarized Light but on your screenshot I cannot see anything being broken.
Can you precisely describe what you consider as broken?

I downloaded tar.gz and compiled it on ubuntu, the colors are still broken with dark theme, any idea why? Im starting htop as user with uid != 0, I cant see numbers in SWP area and cant read user ROOT per each process. Thanks

Thanks for this package! Resolved an issue with unreadable font because it was too bright.
