Only upstream sources should be used. If they change often then a -git package makes sense. For the cksum problem perhaps the updpkgsums command may help (use -h for help on it). Thank you

Mmmmh... must be another problem, the checksum contained within the PKGBUILD match with the official sources:
http://mirror.httrack.com/historical/httrack-3.48.21.tar.gz.md5

Originally the file with source code that matches the checksum above was compiled on my pc before I publishing the PKGBUILD.

I'm reviewing both tarball files and found several files that have been modified.

Until these inconsistencies are corrected in the official website I must downgrade the PKGBUILD.

I could not install, md5sums... fail

@chelqo
Please don't use a private local backup, this should be considered highly insecure.
While I fully understand your difficulties in maintaining an application whose source files change often (I'm having similar issues with 4k* packages) the AUR packages should use the real sources from the upstream author instead of unknown sources.

httrack has an historical section with all the versions available, please pick the source file from http://mirror.httrack.com/historical/ and avoid to use your dropbox folder.

Moreover, new 3.48.12 was released.

The sources change frequently and I do not get notices of updates to give me a hand.
To avoid many error messages of missing sources, by the time I'm using in the PKGBUILD section "source" a backup in dropbox.
