Hi faktorqm, I'm totally aware of this issue. The server hosting the project encountered a disk failure and has been shut down for the moment. I'm abroad until next sunday, thus you'll have to wait til monday or tuesday 23rd before trying it. I'm very very confused and sorry for the inconveniences. Thank you for your comprehension.

Sorry, I saw this. It is a weird problem due to my recent SSL installation on my domains (I maintain this package but I'm also the main dev). I don't know why curl crashes. Wget works as expected by the way. I'm looking into it to fix the situation.

For now though, if you want to clear the update request, you should try to makepkg yourself after having manually grabbing the sources (with firefox, wget etc.) at https://projects.depar.is/hubic-gtk/raw/archlinux/hubic-gtk-0.5.3.tar.gz?name=a363b835a1

Again, sorry for the inconvenience. If anyone as an idea of why curl fails, do not hesitate to tell me.

Hi!

Thanks for your review. I'll try to look why you encounter so many crashes.

First, you should read the little documentation I made here [1]. The link in the PKGBUILD above is broken. My fault. Reading the doc you'll understand how to disable notifications and various other things.

In fact I wrote this script on mate-desktop/xfce. It is completely untested under other desktop manager. Some of your crashe may relate to KDE or, more probably, lack of gtk-related stuff. If you could send me the crash log (if you start hubic-gtk in console, you'll see lot of lines. The ~20 last before the crash may interest me) it would be great.

On the machine where you have no icons, you seems to not have hicolor-icon-theme [2]. I thought it was a gtk2 dependancy, but it seems not. I'll add this dependancy to the PKGBUILD.

Thank you for your help,

Hi,

I have also installed hubic-gtk on 2 Ubuntu machines (by compiling the tar.gz), one with Unity and the other with KDE and on both it showed the same behaviour : Several crashes before it works allright and gets a right-clickable menu. Afterwards it remains OK.
Wondering about the cause of these "first-runs crashes"...?
