I have H1161 and using v15.0.0.89 driver, everything works, all buttons, pressure, etc. With v15.0.0.121 it didn't work.

I mad the same experience with the new drivers as Raindrift (no custom buttons). I filed a bug report to Huion and sent several screencasts showing the issue, however they did not accept this to be a bug and closed the bug report. I would not recommend buying a Huion tablet for Linux from this point on. However, I found that the package kcm-wacomtablet
brings an extra menu in the KDE settings, which allowed me to map the custom buttons. I get the same experience of my Huion tablet without using this driver here.

Hi, I have the HS610 with the last firmware T194_211220 and with v15.0.0.121 I can't to change button mapping both on tablet and pen. I'm also unable to make any adjustment in size of working area. Pen senitivity and buttons with default key mappimg works OK.

I have the H1161 and tried both the latest version and then v15.0.0.89.202205241352. I was able to get mine recognized by both, however I had trouble with both versions. In both I was unable to change any of the press key mapping, they always stayed at the default. I was also unable to get the scroll up swipe to work (only the scroll down swipe works). The pen sensitivity does work on both..
Basically it is hardly usable (for me), so I'm heading back to opentabletdriver. If anyone else has the same tablet (H1161) and has a solution, I would love to hear it. It was nice to have the sensitivity working and I wanted to use the soft keys (which don't work with the opentabletdriver)
edit: I ended up installing xf86-input-wacom and doing some manual config to bind things - still no soft keys or touch scroll bar, but the sensitivity is working now

Anyone have this app working on sway? I get a systemd-coredump every time. Are there any prereqs like blacklisting hid_uclogic or something?

I installed v15.0.0.89.202205241352 and in the 'Working Area' page in the gui I can't see my displays and there is no way to actually change the working area. It just defaults to my full primary display.

I have a H320M and I was having a lot of problems with .103 and .89 but I tried .121 and everything works now, hopefully they'll fix other tablets soon.

Driver has issues with not mapping screens correctly, don't know if it only affects pen displays and/or if it's configuration dependent.
In my case I have 3x screens connected via DP and a Huion Kamvas 24 Plus (GS2402) connected via HDMI/USB using the 3-way splitter cable (my GPU does not, sadly, have USB-C output, if it did that'd be 4x DP which may potentially work better)
In my case it will only map to the primary display, mirroring the primary display to the tablet is not an option due to different resolution.
I'd be interested to see if anyone got tablet area mapping to work correctly on a multi-monitor setup, and if so how your setup differs from mine. (it would obviously work correctly on a single monitor setup since it maps to the full screenrect of your primary display, and mapping parts of the tablet appears to work correctly (though with the caveat that it only goes to the primary monitor)
Oh and .121 is the newest version, I can confirm it works for my kamvas but it didn't resolve my mapping issue, so I'm going back to opentabletdriver (if your tablet isn't supported and the huion driver isn't working well for you, consider writing a config for it. It's very likely to work after that, though opentabletdriver doesn't appear to have any pressure mapping tools, at least not natively -- there may be a plugin for it, I haven't checked).
.121 is too new right now and doesn't have a driver update log yet, maybe because of Chinese new years.

@devilmaycryyyy, I also have a HS64
and I can map all the buttons, included the ones of the pen. Now, I am using the version 15.0.0.89
as in my previous comment. Maybe the problem is with 15.0.0.103
also for the HS64
! Give the old driver a shot!
And @xbelanch , it installs for me.. and I also use UTF-8, in particular I have set en_US.UTF-8
for all except for LC_TIME
which I have as ja_JP.UTF-8
.

Seems like there's a new version v15.0.0.103.202208301443 @ https://www.huion.com/dowload/driver-update-log.html
But it is only compatible with a select few new devices, lock the huiontablet package to v15.0.0.89.202205241352 if you're not using one of those I guess.
I'll probably split this package up if more releases like this with different device support continue. (Huion please make this easier for me)
20230204-EDIT: Added v15.0.0.107.202209081050 and v15.0.0.121.202301131103, once again compatibility among devices seems to be iffy, check the driver update log and see which one works best for you. Also god dammit Huion, why are you silently changing peoples wayland sessions to x11, and the script they wrote only works on GDM!!
