For users using the hyprcrop-bin package:

Currently, the -bin package is built on an Ubuntu environment using GitHub Actions. Unlike Arch Linux’s rolling release model, Ubuntu cannot always keep up with flexible updates.

Because of this, if hyprcrop-bin does not work correctly or behaves unexpectedly, please try using the regular hyprcrop package or build it directly from GitHub instead.

If building from source is troublesome, I’d appreciate it if you could open an issue on GitHub. Thanks for your understanding!
