@LuxFerre I get your point, but I wanted to keep it lean and follow the principles of the unix philosophy.

This is super interesting! However I think it would be much improved with an included automated timer (such as f.lux/night mode utilities) switching alternate pixels every x minutes... I'm aware it could be made with a cronjob but just seems a bit awkward not to have it native. (sorry for being so lazy :D)
