@mrdaltro, just managed to build it from PKGBUILD in a clean Arch Linux container. You sure HTTP requests are not being intercepted by a local proxy or your ISP?

I don't know why, but I was able to build it (with a personal patch, hahah) just by fetching sources with a manual "curl -L <url>" command. As I stated with "curl -I <the url that is in source field>", that's not a HTTP301 (redirect) location, so I don't know what is exactly going on, but... Well, for sure that's some problem. It's not building.

@mid-kid thanks, will look into incorporating code from that repo if it does the trick

Found the fix:

That's fine, thanks for confirming it's not just me, at least. :)

@mid-kid can confirm with PCmanFM-Qt 0.16.0.

I've created a tracking issue at but can't promise much on that one: I'm not intimate enough with the i3wm codebase or X11 to really fix that. For now I can only say PCmanFM and SpaceFM work fine. _(ツ)_/

@tdemin I mean that it should appear behind any other open windows (i.e. replace the background). For some reason PCmanFM 1.3.1 does appear in the background, but PCmanFM-Qt 0.16.0 appears on top of everything else.

@mid-kid can't confirm, works as expected with PCmanFM 1.3.1.

Feel free to drop an issue at - I am not sure what does "appear in the foreground" refer to in that context. The desktop window does not overlap anything and properly stays in background for me.

This is making any desktop windows appear in the foreground, rather than the background. Is there any way to fix this?
