I have adopted this and got the upstream changes. The name of the executable has been changed in the upstream from 'i3-swallow' to 'swallow' so I've reflected that here as well.

This is very cool ;-) This works with the python-i3ipc package in Community and the latest git commit.
The i3-swallow-git package doesn't build, though.
Also, there is an i3-swallow package that uses the 'xdo hide' trick instead of the scratchpad. That's a bit confusing. Nice work on this, though!
