@benalexau: The AUR version of TWS seems to be different from the official Linux installer package: The desktop items are not the same, and more importantly, the start login screens seems to be very different optically and functionally and seems to be outdated in the AUR version. For example, it is not possible to switch between 'STABLE', 'LATEST', and 'BETA', and the 'IBKR Light/Pro' icon is still missing in the AUR version. Being not able to switch between editions, I am currently forced to fall back to the manual installer.

yay has the option to ask which package.. ==> Packages to cleanBuild? select # item.
Yay is not asking me to edit PKGBUILDS, and I don't like the diff menu! What can I do? yay --editmenu --nodiffmenu --save

I haven't been able to get sound working since I started using TWS mid-last year. It's unfortunate because I do watch BB throughout the day and currently have had a rig up a 1/2 hour browser purging service to bypass their paywall..
It would be nice in general to have sounds working in TWS. Has anyone here had it working whatsoever?

Well, here sound in Tws doesn't work without ffmpeg2.8, sadly. Strange. I am using an external soundcard as well, but I don't see how that can matter.
(I'm on Manjaro)
Same error shows up - please install libavcodec, libavformat, glib for ubuntu 12.04 or equivalent (very outdated versions - so I'm surprised the sounds are working for other people)

@elementaryswag thanks for letting me know. I have removed ffmpeg2.8 as an optional dependency, changing it to plain ffmpeg. It was mentioned a fair while ago as needed for the TV streaming in TWS, but I don't use that so have no idea if it's still needed. Feel free to add a comment here if you find we need something else for the TV streaming.
