packages of the base-devel group like pkg-config don't have to be specified as makedepends, install base-devel is a pre-requisite for using the AUR https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Prerequisites

@archisman Thanks. At least I got a reply from someone. LibreOffice is the go-to word processing application for me and ibus-avro isn't doing well on LibreOffice. I wrote previous comment in Bangla to show that ibus-avro works fine in browsers. Good Day.

@kju Although ibus-avro is for writing Bangla, please use English in AUR/Arch Linux forums. The Arch package maintainers may not know Bangla.

To answer your question, ibus works with LibreOffice. But it does not work with WPS office and may not work with Softmaker FreeOffice. It is an ibus issue (for all scripts), and is not an ibus-avro specific issue.

Also, please report the issues at github https://github.com/sarim/ibus-avro, and not in this AUR page (I am not the package maintainer, I am a user).

সব ওয়েব এপ্লিক্যাশনে বাংলা লিখার সময় অভ্র ঠিকই কাজ করতেছে কিন্তু কোন Word Processing Application-এ কাজ করে না। এটার কি কোন সমাধান আছে?

বিঃদ্রঃ আমি Manjaro Linux এর KDE Plasma 5.24.5 ব্যবহার করছি এবং এই কমেন্টটি অভ্র দিয়েই লিখা। ব্রাউজারে কোন সমস্যা ছাড়াই বাংলা লিখা যাচ্ছে। ধন্যবাদ

বার বার ibus avro restart করতে হচ্ছে. লিখতে লিখতে avro কাজ করা বন্ধ করে দিচ্ছে। তখন অভ্র icon এ ক্লিক করলেও english লেখা হচ্ছে। এরপর killall ibus-daemon && ibus-daemon করলে আবার অভ্র কাজ করছে ।

I can write in browser just fine using Avro, but in other application it's not working. Bangla font not showing up there it's insisting on keeping English character, though I've already many avro font system wide. I also tried changing system font to avro font but that doesn't work as well. Can someone help me on this? I'm running Manjaro KDE.

Just unflag it. Develop or master, it works that is the biggest news. If you want master why don't you edit the PKGBUILD yourself?
