The upstream Makefile was changed in this commit:

https://github.com/BambooEngine/ibus-bamboo/commit/4d1f71357d12c7ab3634b0f74564253da91c8ebb

to remove a crucial line:

PREFIX=/usr

and thus built package fail to install with the following error

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
ibus-bamboo-git: /lib exists in filesystem (owned by filesystem)
ibus-bamboo-git: /lib/ibus-bamboo/ibus-engine-bamboo exists in filesystem

The maintainer made it clear that the change was intentional to maintain compatability with FreeBSD (https://github.com/BambooEngine/ibus-bamboo/pull/504 - Vietnamese discussion)

so it's up to PKGBUILD file to add this line.
