This is an insecure (CVE-2023-24486) and old version. Use at your own risk!

If you can, switch to the current version instead.

Hi, just for info. Bug with copy and paste is in this version too, but appears somehow lesser.

burzo: Thx for info. Well latest versions has a bug with copy and paste - https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/417269-copy-and-paste-issue-on-citrix-workspace/ I'll give a try to this version, cause it's pretty annoying and, as I see it, nobody from Citrix cares about it (as it's there more than year). I'm using Citrix on my Linux-powered PC only occasionally, so security bug does not concerns me much. On working PC is Win 11 (!terrible for user :(!) a Citrix works there fine.

cziss: Initially I have created this package because of a bug in the latest version which was very annoying for some people. As far as I know, this bug is fixed meanwhile, so probably it does not make much sense to use it any longer, especially since it has security issues.

So whoever wants to use it should be aware of the security risk!

This cannot be made secure.

Please try to reach out to Citrix support and file bug reports with them regarding the graphical distortions and/or the client-side resource consumption of the currently supported version of the Citrix Receiver / Citrix Workspace App client.

Hi, I'm thinking about using this version. But I¨m wondering, what's special about this particular version?

bigjuck commented on 2023-02-17 13:52 (UTC)

It seems to give a security problem https://www.heise.de/news/Sicherheitsupdates-Fernzugriffsloesung-Citrix-Workspace-attackierbar-7517405.html

With the new version icaclient 23.2.0.10-1 i have same problem as @zooltayoh describes in his comment from 20220228. Is it possible to make version 2109 secure?

Thanks jmerk

Might want to add 'icaclient' to Conflicts. Thanks for providing this stable release, the newest version gives graphical distortion for remote apps, and excessive CPU usage on my setup.

@hugocruise: I see, thx. For reference see box at bottom of https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/multimedia/opt-ms-teams.html and the MS Teams roadmap linked there.

@nursoda: Microsoft Teams HDX does not connect rendering my microphone and webcam undetected. This version reinstates the functionality.
