For a while now, their out7.hex-rays.com where the download is hosted is randomly giving an outdated certificate error about every 1/3 requests. Keep trying to install the pacakge if this happens until it works if you get an error.

EDIT: It doesn't seem like it's going to get fixed, so the package now pulls from archive.org wayback machine.

IDA Free 9.0+ requires an account to download and a license to use so this package will stay on 8.4 for the foreseeable future

Which file was it that made the fakechroot necessary? I worked through it all today and I can't find any files installed outside the given prefix. Maybe the new installer from October fixed that?

P.S. - I made a series of changes to the package files; you can see them here: https://git.sr.ht/~stick/aur-ida-free

Forgot to mention that I fixed it :)

The package works. I've installed it and I'm using IDA right now. No 404. No installation password. I haven't experienced any problem so far.

Thank you @fatalis for your work.

The package seems broken for now. The installer has changed and even with the correct new sha256sum, it is asking for an installation password in unattended mode. (Manual installation in default mode works fine, though.)

Ah, the setup was caching incorrectly due to the same filename, fixed.

I confirm dibg's comment. The sha256sum idafree70_linux.run is e38333d6cf844706ec48d154e64740b9b125c388f7b3a541104ba0a9a61321ab.
