you don't need rpmextract or rpm2cpio. Every Arch install includes bsdtar because it is provided by the libarchive package, which pacman itself depends on. bsdtar can open rpm files itself directly, e.g. bsdtar xf imagewriter-1.8-4.1.src.rpm

Sorry for super long delay. I haven't checked my packages for a while. I've added "cpio" and "rpmextract" (which provides rpm2cpio) to the dependencies. rpmextract is in the official repos, so users won't need to compile rpm or rpm2cpio.

This package makedepends on rpm2cpio and cpio. Please add those. Also, when build starts, I get the following message: ==> Starting build()... CPIO archive found! gzip: stdin: not in gzip format cpio: premature end of archive ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build imagewriter. so it doesn't compile.

This is openSuSE's imagewriter software for create openSuSE live USB's. The build dependencies, package name, package version, etc. are all taken from the original .spec file from the source rpm.
