If anyone else is annoyed by the arch-tmpfiles script, the answer is probably one of these: https://bitbucket.org/TZ86/initscripts-fork/issues/3/collecting-patches-for-the-ever-evolving Let me know if any other scripts are buggy too.

@TZ86 That was it. Thanks!

@kozec If systemd has been removed from your system you should install tmpfiles-config package. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tmpfiles-config/

Hi! /run/lock suddenly went missing on my system. Shouldn't it be created on each boot by initscripts?

Can't thank you enough for this man. Keep up the great work!

@OrdinaryMagician Thx.

It'd be nice to add kbd as a dependency, I've noticed it went missing after cleanup when I got rid of systemd.

@mdevaev Thanks but it's already fixed in sysvinit 2.88-14. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sysvinit/ (see last comment)

Sysvinit-tools package has been removed from the repository and some utilites such as killall5 missing in procps-ng. I have a package that provides them without conflict with procps-ng. https://github.com/mdevaev/sysvinit-tools-adds https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sysvinit-tools-adds/
