Hello, 0.39.0 just got released upstream. Adding support for some tablets and fixing bugs. https://github.com/linuxwacom/input-wacom/releases/tag/input-wacom-0.39.0

Also, could you remove first three lines from the post_install() step? Because of the new pacman dkms triggers this seems to install for the current kernel twice.

Thank you!

Please patch dkms.conf so that it will compile against freshly installed linux-headers:

+++ dkms.conf   2017-12-30 15:10:35.864857266 +1000

 BUILT_MODULE_NAME[0]="wacom"

Also please edit PKGBUILD for the following MD5SUM on patched dkms.conf:

bf27a9b480085418738b299cb4f3d378  dkms.conf

This patch should address issues like these:

==> dkms install input-wacom/0.37.1 -k 4.14.9-1-ARCH
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 4.14.9-1-ARCH (x86_64)
Consult /var/lib/dkms/input-wacom/0.37.1/build/make.log for more information.

When it looks in the previously removed linux-headers for the currently running kernel (instead of the newly installed linux-headers for a new kernel).

@krauss Sourceforge is having trouble at the moment: it fails to validate because it downloads a web page instead of the file. I found that downloading the file separately works.

krauss commented on 2017-09-27 14:56 (UTC)

The md5sums validation is failing for input-wacom-0.36.0.tar.bz2

@apicici I see, thanks. We'll keep on waiting

@rodrunner: input-wacom and xf86-input-wacom are two different things: input-wacom contains the kernel driver, while xf86-input-wacom contains the X driver. As you can see by checking https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxwacom/files/xf86-input-wacom/input-wacom/ input-wacom is still at version 0.33.0.

Hi, after updrading today, I see version 0.34.0-1 now: local/xf86-input-wacom 0.34.0-1 X.Org Wacom tablet driver

@electricprism: the input-wacom kernel modules have not been updated to 0.34.0 yet. I will take a look into the error you are getting. EDIT: the compilation error should be fixed now.

Somethings up it won't complete on stock kernel ----------------------------- Deleting module version: 0.33.0 completely from the DKMS tree. ------------------------------ Done. I wonder if this is connected to the update to 0.34 xf86-input-wacom-0.34.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
