@bkb You need to install both at the same time with 'pacman -U'.

This package seems to be marked as being out of date and I believe there is a later version on the github. Hoping that this gets updated soon... Thank you to all maintainers.

@MarsSeed igc and compute-runtime are complex packages with lots of underlying details that can break some feature without notice, since it highly depends on specific commits of spirv-llvm-translator and opencl-clang, and usually breaks upon new llvm versions. Upstream uses a different llvm version (currently llvm 11) for building, and they build it with llvm bundled on the binaries, contrary to us at Arch Linux, as we ship the packages dynamically linked (not bundled) against latest llvm. This -bin package ships the binaries certified by upstream, with bundled llvm 11 and targeted at their verified dependency commits. It helps to debug our repository packages by comparing behavior exhibited by upstream certified binaries, offering a quick way to get the certified binaries running on the system.

Is this package needed?
Arch [community] already provides x86_64 build of this - and current package does not offer additional architectures.

@guiodic I have added intel-gmmlib to provides. The downside is that it needs to build gmmlib to install its headers, so the package can fully provide intel-gmmlib. Hopefully the build process is relatively quick.

removing intel-gmmlib breaks 'intel-gmmlib' dependency requested by intel-media-driver
