What is the reason for the download to be from the 3rd party bintray.com instead of directly from Jetbrains?

edit: nevermind, I see Jetbrains changed this themselves.

/usr/lib/jvm/intellij-jdk/jre/lib/security/cacerts should be replaced by a symlink to /etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts otherwise the dependency to ca-certificates-java is useless.

The following line should do the trick:
ln -sf /etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts "$pkgdir/usr/lib/jvm/$pkgname/jre/lib/security/cacerts"

Maybe the package should be renamed to `jetbrains-jdk`?

larvan commented on 2016-11-26 06:54

I don't have the time to maintain this package so I have orphaned it.

I went the route of manually installing IDEA with the bundled jdk after all.

You should setup watcher for this package. You have missed several versions. Latest version is 574.

mareex commented on 2016-10-27 15:22

@larvan why not? It is just a single folder that is placed in /usr/lib/jvm, where all JVMs should be. I may be be wrong, but I do not think you have anything else to consider here. So there will not be any additional effort to maintain this package.

Another question: does somebody know where I can find the sources?

larvan commented on 2016-10-25 15:43

@srki_82 I do not want to put things under /usr/lib as I don't have the time to properly support this package.

srki_82 commented on 2016-10-15 09:57

Is there any reason not to install jdk in /usr/lib/jvm/intellij-jdk folder? That way we can use it as default jdk/jre for all apps.

@Bigsy
Updated to 287.2 but the original version did not crash here.

@zierler-f
Unfortunately no, because jdk is installed globally and I can't know which user and which product (and which product version) to target:(

Bigsy commented on 2016-10-10 19:32

Needs an update, this version crashes for me using 4.8 kernel.
