@m406001, thanks, it's better fixed upstream. Book files can be packaged into a separate tarball for each release.

In the meantime, I've included what is available without compilation, hope it helps.

I will try to ask the developer to also ship "the book" in the released tar.gz binary on github. I hate to have to go online just to read the extended docs. And those docs are needed for this interesting and complex project.

I also know that the other PKGBUILD "intermodal" ships the book. But I dont want to download gigabytes of Rust and Cargo just to compile it myself.

In the meantime.

$ wget https://github.com/casey/intermodal/releases/download/v0.1.13/imdl-v0.1.13-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz

$ tar tf imdl-v0.1.13-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz

/dev/shm/Scratchys/hefur---scratch---234510/repy/hery/intermodal-bin $ tar tf imdl-v0.1.13-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz

...
README.md
....
man/imdl-torrent-announce.1
...

Although the "book" is not included in the binary release tar.gz, the "README" is. Please dont throw it away and make sure it also installs to something like,

/usr/share/doc/intermodal/README

It is not fluff. It contains a usefull lengthy overview and rational about the project that is not in the man pages.

And in the future the developer might even add an,

/usr/share/doc/intermodal/CHANGELOG

Important and usefull to try to keep up with these projects.

Thanks in advance.

The book requires source files, they're not included with the GitHub release, so I encourage to switch to intermodal package I maintain, it has the book files in it.

I'll leave this package as lighter, bare-bones one that can be installed in seconds.

Thanks for creating this PKGBUILD.

In addition to the man page (very brief) and zsh/bash completions, the repo of this package includes extremelly usefull and important docs.

The developer calls it "the book"

It is available as compiled html at https://imdl.io/book/

The source is in the repo, as simple markdown md files in the folder 'book' https://github.com/casey/intermodal/

Please update the PKGBUILD so that we get these md files in

/usr/share/doc/intermodal/book/
