Yup, this is easily fixed by moving the last `cp` statement from function `build` into a new `package` function [0]: build() { cd ${startdir}/src ar -x ${startdir}/src/${pkgname}_${pkgver}+20060710.1_all.deb data.tar.gz tar -zxf ${startdir}/src/data.tar.gz } package() { cp -r ${startdir}/src/usr/ ${startdir}/pkg/ } [0] http://pastebin.com/hnUxudka
