Hi ragouel, the iredis-bin has no dependencies actually, there is a Python interpreter built into the binary. You can try to delete "Python" on Linux, the ./iredis will still work.
So I think you can delete the "python" dependency.

Can chown in PKGBUILD be changed from "root:root" to "redis:redis"?

The hash of the LICENSE changed. As the repo owner sets tags correctly, maybe this should use https://raw.githubusercontent.com/laixintao/iredis/v${pkgver}/LICENSE for the LICENSE file. E.g. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/laixintao/iredis/v1.10.0/LICENSE
This avoid changes to the master LICENSE file to break released versions.

When I install this all the files under /usr/lib/iredis/lib are under user 1001 and group 117, so I can't run it due to permission errors since these random user and group numbers don't exist on my system. For other AUR packages this isn't the case. A workaround is to change the permissions manually, but could you please fix this so it doesn't give these errors?
