I disown this package.
Instead, you can use iscan-for-epson-v500-photo, that I just created. It contains all-in-one : iscan, iscan-data and plugin of V500-photo.
The reason why I did that is : iscan[community] is out-of-date (2.30.3), and most important, is buggy : when you select a rectangular region to scan, it moves slightly towards right and beneath.
Please, @team of community : update and fix it !!
For this package iscan-for-epson-v500-photo, I use binaries provided by Epson. No compile.
