I registered to warn about this package being outdated, but saw I was beaten to it. Thanks so much for the update, alexdw, you've saved me from going back to Debian. :) As an aside for other users experiencing problems getting this to work, you'll likely have to take a couple of extra steps *as root*. 1) nano /etc/sane.d/dll.conf and make the file read only the following: # enable the next line if you want to allow access through the network: loader net epkowa Save and exit, and then after setting your Epson's LAN IP as static: 2) nano /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf and change the top section to read: #usb #scsi net 192.168.x.xxx #(YOUR EPSON'S LAN IP) Save and you should now be fully working. Sorry for the long comment but if it saves another user the hair-pulling I had, it was worth it lol. Thanks again for the update.

@amonobeax: Thank you - updated. I wonder if there is a way to dynamically update it from one of the download pages (for instance: http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/du/02/DriverDownloadInfo.do?LG2=EN&CN2=&DSCMI=36160&DSCCHK=16f2724dddd92bc4b6041daf1b22ff1464d45aae) or if those themselves change.

Updated again for new version (1.1.1-1) - looks like the download links will need updating every time. I'll adopt this package for now but won't be actively looking for new versions, so if someone could post here each time it needs updating that would be good.

Here is the updated PKGBUILD for this package. I used the URL's in the previous comments. When you download the tarball here, just replace the existing PKGBUILD with this one.
