Package updated.

Since now this package will follow the iscan package version used to distribute the plugin, instead of the internal numbering into the package, as EPSON people won't respect version number history

The version on the Epson server does not look like it changed, but the checksums are different now.

I made the following changes to the PKGBUILD file before building successfully:

_iscan_ver=2.30.4
_plugin_rel=1
_file_ver=1.0.1
sha256sums_i686=('f2c114f07e0dc2ffdd20b2c6c7eb3d36bdc55f465394ea4cb3028b48c05bba9a')
sha256sums_x86_64=('08026cedf7b13895526b5b6267e98f1ab2c5ed9eb417c565ef37cfd4787b7b65')
  #install -m 755 -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}"
  #install -m 644 "share/doc/${pkgname}/AVASYSPL.en.txt" "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}/AVASYSPL"

I have tried with the given data. makepkg finds the source. But the check with sha256sums_x86_64 fails. Is the given checksum correct?

thanks to bgant for adding changes to PKGFILE with flagging package out of date. Log in to see them. Repeating them here for others:

makepgk with version 2.30.4 works with the following changes to the PKGBUILD file:

_iscan_ver=2.30.4 _file_ver=1.0.1 _plugin_rel=1 sha256sums_i686=('76b340d6e50d392ec6ba1d738bc7822c9d0e9377a554fff3de2a708be41976b8') sha256sums_x86_64=('35209e729d90626d096f0ebd30b7014407cdf4dda214d456f1c57db41415793d')

Install licenses
install -m 755 -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}"
install -m 644 "share/doc/${pkgname}/AVASYSPL.en.txt" "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}/AVASYSPL"

I am stuck with My scanner since Epson driver source changed. Any good will to update or tell me how to do it from debian Package ?

@Muflone The package is now marked out of date, and cannot build: Epson's driver source url has changed, because of a new release, removing the former one. I myself adjusted and updated PKGBUILD file with the new release paremeters in order to install it on my system locally, with success.

This is the first such operation I've done to update a package; are you happy to maintain it, or shall I attempt to takeover?

Muflone commented on 2017-11-02 00:16 (UTC)

@justinSB it should work, please test it if you can

JustinSB commented on 2017-09-14 19:01 (UTC)

For the record, it does work with the Epson Perfection v37

I've stopped using Arch, so won't be able to further maintain this package. I should have disowned the package, so it is up for grabs. If I've made a mistake, please let me know. Cheers, Alistair

Hello, Would you please check the package? It seems there are no files on Epson's website to download by package... Thank you.

I did a bit of cleanup and fixed, so now builds for i686 arch. http://files.bogar.io/iscan-plugin-perfection-v370.patch
