Hi everyone! I too wanted to remove the LAR restrictions for my Intel AX210. My system is not Arch, but another Linux system with kernel 6.1 (quite old, yes). I backported the patch then compiled and loaded the iwlwifi module with lar_disabled=Y. But alas, that didn't help. I still can't create a 5Ghz access point. I studied the patch and found that the main point is to remove the IWL_NVM_SBANDS_FLAGS_LAR flag. I removed it everywhere in the iwlwifi code in general. But that doesn't help either! Could it be that I have an old kernel? Is this patch even for AX210? My firmware is iwlwifi-ty-a0-gf-a0-72.ucode. Maybe I need another version?
PS: Sorry for jumping in on you from another distro, it's just that this is the only place that offers some sort of solution to the LAR problem.

is it compatible or does it require any changes?

Does to seem to work for 6.11.6 unfortunately. i get "iwlwifi: unknown parameter 'lar_disable' ignored" in dmesg.

@patryk using this patch I can only see the 5ghz, did you know if there is a way to enable 6ghz ?

Patch has been updated for kernel 6.7.x and higher. If you like try to configure AP on 6GHz you need to modify wifiregdb and remove certificate verification from cfg80211 kernel module. I haven't tested it. Maybe intel firmware will block it.

Please update it to the linux 6.7.x sir. Is it possible to enable 6Ghz ? Thanks & Regards
