The sources aren't reachable, I tried yesterday and just a moment ago. Does anybody know what's going on? Or does anyone know another link to the source? I need this application next sunday!

Just forgot to update the description, but it's done now. Builds fine, I only get
jack_capture.c:1067:45: warning: comparison between signed and unsigned integer expressions [-Wsign-compare]
But that's something the author may or may not need to deal with.

perhaps the description should change - '... (including a minimalistic GUI)', but it doesn't provide a GUI anymore.
Note that I'm fine without the GUI, not much usable...

New version is out - 0.9.60

The author accepted the patch in this release, compiles fine for me here

hollunder commented on 2011-10-26 12:15

Updated to 0.9.58. GTK2 dependency removed. The author doesn't maintain the GUI anymore. It can still be built however, so if you think you need it, please create another PKGBUILD.

falkTX, thanks for your patch, but on Oct 25 2011 the author released a new version, your patch is against the older one, hence this is what I get when I apply it:
Hunk #1 succeeded at 130 (offset 1 line).
Hunk #2 succeeded at 1513 (offset 6 lines).
Hunk #3 succeeded at 1845 with fuzz 2 (offset 12 lines).

And when I build it:
gcc -O3 -mtune=native -DVERSION=\"0.9.58\" -Wall -Wextra -Wno-unused jack_capture.c vringbuffer.c -o jack_capture -ljack -lsndfile -lm -lpthread `cat config_flags`
jack_capture.c: In function ‘disk_write’:
jack_capture.c:1035:45: warning: comparison between signed and unsigned integer expressions [-Wsign-compare]
jack_capture.c: In function ‘init_various’:
jack_capture.c:1848:5: warning: passing argument 2 of ‘jack_set_freewheel_callback’ from incompatible pointer type [enabled by default]
/usr/include/jack/jack.h:330:5: note: expected ‘JackFreewheelCallback’ but argument is of type ‘int (*)(int, void *)’

Please fix the patch, then I'll apply it.

Please add this patch to the PKGBUILD:
http://repo.or.cz/w/cadence.git/blob_plain/master:/jack_capture-freewheel-fix.patch

It fixes capture when using freewheel mode.

I already contacted the author, who said to include this patch in his next release.
Looks like the new release can take some time though...

Thanks
