Seems like the JASP guys changed the JASP-Engine.pro for 0.8.6:

patching file JASP-Engine/JASP-Engine.pro Hunk #1 FAILED at 76. 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file JASP-Engine/JASP-Engine.pro.rej ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare(). Aborting...

So far, JASP works. SEM module can be activated and seems to be running correctly. Tried it out with the example data set and the values are identical to using lavaan with R.

Tanks for the PKG update! :-)

Re-added SEM. Not sure why they are patching it out yet, so use with caution.

Ok, long time waiting. It's working. No, SEM isn't there. I'm not really sure why it isn't yet, but everything else appears to be working.

Alright! Thanks for your reply and updating work. I really appreciate this.

The tag is there, but there is more work to be done - Their R dependencies have changed quite a bit, so I need to update the jasp-rbundle package as well to ensure .8.4 will work. Once I have more time (a week or two from now) I'll add their R dependency changes and test JASP. The .8.4 update was probably the largest update they've had in a long time in terms of R changes.

The tag for 0.8.4.0 is already there: v0.8.4.

If I change the PKGBUILD to the latest tag the latest version gets successfully compiled. But the SEM module is missing. If I leave the tag to v0.8.3.1 the SEM module gets compiled. Any idea what went wrong?

.8.4.0 was just announced, but they did not make a git tag for it. I'll update the package once they do.
