miguelmsoler, this might be because of how outdated the package was, ive just updated it on the repo and installed with the key verification working fine. If it still shows you an error it could be you need to refresh your key db again

Hi. I started to see this error when running pacman -Sy
I added the key again, but it didn't fix it.

That seems redundant and weird, but it also doesn't answer the question about /usr/bin/java existing and not being used instead.
You are correct about
$ sudo archlinux-java fix/setsetting it up properly, though, so hat's off to you for that one.skydrome commented on 2020-08-15 17:20 (UTC)
default and default-runtime are created by archlinux-java they point to exactly the same place. Try running

1) why are you calling /usr/lib/jvm/default/bin/java when /usr/bin/java exists?
2) is /default/ Arch, and /default-runtime/ Artix-specific?
I'm tempted to flag this package out of date, but it's been a while since I ran Arch proper, and have no memory of where java actually lived back then.

Hey @applebloom. I had the exactly same problem. Try to compile inside a clean chroot.

I tried to build today (no aur helper) and got:

I removed settings JAVA_HOME from the pkgbuild thinking it wasnt needed, but I still had it in my environment which is why it built for me. I added it back, sry
AlPiotrowicz commented on 2019-11-07 20:11 (UTC)
It fails in the clean chroot:
