I was hesitating between /usr/share and /etc. But you're right it makes more sense to place them in /usr/share/jconvolver/examples
I updated the PKGBUILD accordingly.

Yann.

Thank you for the effort Yann,

your decision likely is ok, OTOH it's questionable if /etc is a good choice. On the one hand at least system configs belong to /etc, on the other hand examples more likely would be expected to be in /usr/share/jconvolver/examples or similar, at least jconvolver configurations should be considered as much bounded to different purposes of use, so copying from /usr/share/jconvolver/{examples,howto,whatsoever} to /home/username and similar locations might be more appropriated, than to expect "examples" in /etc.

FWIW https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/jconvolver -> https://packages.debian.org/sid/all/jconvolver-config-files/filelist

While it would be idiotic to split the package and to add the wave files, the locations might be something to consider to adopt, since for upstream the configs are part of the tarball, but the wave files are a different tarball.

Edit: I'm mistaken, some of the IR wave files are part of the tarball.

Regards,
Ralf

Hi,

as it turns out by two LAU thread

http://lists.linuxaudio.org/pipermail/linux-audio-user/2016-February/104030.html

http://lists.linuxaudio.org/pipermail/linux-audio-user/2016-February/104075.html

some users experienced difficulties using jconvolver.

I couldn't understand why, since I've got examples how to do this, but then I noticed that the AUR package doesn't install the examples from the tarball.

Consider to add those examples.

Regards,
Ralf
