@djmattyg007 I've taken this over. Do you still need ADVANCED_USAGE.md in the package? Can you explain more what that's about if so?

Hi, thanks for reaching out.
PYTHONHASHSEED
wasn't removed, it's being exported to keep the line length down.makepkg
; this requires the file being in the same directory as the PKGBUILD (jellex
does the same thing). By doing so, the user can callpacman -Qc jello
to read the changelog, rather than dig through/usr/share/doc/
for it. Also, upstream includes the changelog in both the repo and PyPI because they distribute the exact same tarball for both platforms.djmattyg007 commented on 2022-01-23 12:12 (UTC)
Hi, I have a couple of questions about this package.
Why was the
PYTHONHASHSEED=0
environment variable removed? I thought it was important for reproducible builds.Why is there a copy of the changelog stored in the repo, when the changelog is included in the PyPI package AND in the github repo?
Would you be able to include
ADVANCED_USAGE.md
in the package?djmattyg007 commented on 2021-07-15 11:55 (UTC)
The next version of jello will include the changelog in the PyPI package: https://github.com/kellyjonbrazil/jello/commit/2d645b2f20f2bafe279322375bce99c9b9ebcaed
This will remove the need to keep a copy of the changelog in the AUR repo.
