@eh8 Here comes the jellyfin-ffmpeg5-bin
.
For now it is available for x86_64 and aarch64.
I've corrected the aarch64 checksum, sorry for the delay.
I'm seeing the same aarch64 checksum issue. It should be 3aabb7161fab7dc5f2ffd38baaa90019413b99f94fbd7a6ada485865d9b47089
Confirming wrong checksum for aarch64. 3aabb7161fab7dc5f2ffd38baaa90019413b99f94fbd7a6ada485865d9b47089 jellyfin-server_10.8.5-1_arm64.deb
Hi,
The aarch64 server deb is not passing sha256sum validation.
x86_64 and armv7h seem fine.
The SHA256 checksum that I'm getting on the aarch64 deb is: 3AABB7161FAB7DC5F2FFD38BAAA90019413B99F94FBD7A6ADA485865D9B47089
@eh8 Cool. No idea why paru changed what they changed. Might just keep using paru and yay when I want to update jellyfin. Thanks.
@mantion I wrote this package in a manner consistent with the jellyfin
package, which also uses a split design.
As suggested in another comment on the jellyfin
package, the latest paru changelog provides a telling explanation into why it cannot process split packages ("Don't try to build packages if deps are missing on fail").
Because of this, as well as the fact that other AUR helpers such as yay can upgrade the package without issue, I do not foresee myself rewriting the package's logic. This is unless I can see a method to fix the paru issue in some fast and easy way, which otherwise probably requires breaking jellyfin-bin
into separate packages.
Having same PARU issue as @eh8. Is this likely to be resolved as I would prefer not to manually makepkg.
@eh8 I used paru. Using makepkg
it correctly updates. I guess I will raise the issue on paru's end. It seems like it did not resolve the splits packages (excuse my lack of AUR knowledge). Thanks for maintaining!
@Jack1221 what AUR helper are you using? Do you encounter the same issue if you clone the repo without the AUR helper and run makepkg -si
?

For those who want faster HWA in 10.8 and fixes from jellyfin team, please use
jellyfin-ffmpeg5
instead of the standardffmpeg
package. The standard one doesn't include our patches.https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/jellyfin-ffmpeg5
