I don't think it requires java-environment=8 (unlike jitsi) b/c it seems to be running just fine with my default java-14-openjdk.

Ok, it seems it has been already fixed on 2018-09-17. For some reason yaourt used outdated PKGBUILD.

I can't reproduce the error message yet. It seems to build normally on my system.

Do you have any suggestions how I can reproduce the issue?

Can you fix PKGBUILD error please? /etc/profile.d/apache-ant.sh: No such file or directory

(Creating the file with export ANT_HOME=/usr/share/ant helped, but that's a workaround)

You may need https://github.com/Starcommander/Jitsi_systray_workaround if you use KDE
