PLEASE, WHEN THERE IS A NEW VERSION AVAILABLE, ALLOW ME AT LEAST 24H TO UPLOAD A NEW PACKAGE! I got a cron monitoring Segger web page every hour and I usually do it in the next minute. But I might (sometimes) sleep… No need to flag the package out of date!

I don't want to add a /usr/bin/Config.exe as the name is so mainstream that it can clash with other packages. So I asked them to restore the original name, which is unique.

Let's wait and see for a couple of days for their position!

Other changes: Configurator: Replaced J-Link and Flasher specific applications with the "SEGGER Configurator" application.

Let's wait and see if it was intentional or not. I suspect that not. I sent them an email. They answer generally quickly. So let's wait for their answer.

@AlexisPolti @fermentedfly

9.22 release notes https://www.segger.com/downloads/jlink/ReleaseNotes_JLink.html

Other changes: Configurator: Replaced J-Link and Flasher specific applications with the "SEGGER Configurator" application.

So it was intentional change and PKGBUILD should be adjusted.

You're right. And there are many executable which don't have a ".desktop" file. For Config.exe, I sent an email to Segger. I'm waiting for their answer before changing the script (sorry if it bothers some of you, I have many things to do). Will fix this in the next few days!

Hello,

It looks like the 922 revision provided by Segger no longer contains a binary named "JLinkConfigExe". Instead there is now a "ConfigExe" (Which launches the J-Link Configurator). I'm no sure if this was an intentional change by SEGGER or an oversight.

Try to remove /home/user/.cache/yay/jlink-software-and-documentation and run yay again

matthewq337 flagged jlink-software-and-documentation out-of-date on 2024-09-18 (UTC) for the following reason: "should not conflict/provide with it's self".

Could they elaborate please? The only conflict is with an old package spelled j-link-xxx…
