To include the symlink for mount compatibility (as mentioned in the wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Media_Transfer_Protocol#jmtpfs ), add the following line to the package() function:

ln -s /usr/bin/jmtpfs ${pkgdir}/usr/bin/mount.jmtpfs

Update: The maintainer added it to the PKGBUILD, no need to add manually.

Could you please add 'armv7h' to the arch line? It builds just fine on my Raspberry Pi 2 :) Most probably it builds just fine for armv6h too (e.g. Raspberry Pi 1), but I cannot confirm...

reporting: slow, but works with my Wiko Rainbow.

@alexander: pkg-config is part of base-devel group. So it won't be added as a dependency

alexander commented on 2015-03-09 20:02 (UTC)

This package misses the dependency on pkg-config.

There is the man page in Ubuntu for this program - http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/trusty/man1/jmtpfs.1.html

Ahh, you're fast. I was just about to delete my comment. It seems this is a problem with Pacman 4.2 ;).

TamCore commented on 2015-01-09 14:39 (UTC)

@andy_0: Maybe you shouldn't run makepkg as root? :)

andy_0 commented on 2015-01-09 14:37 (UTC)

Compilation fails with error message: "Invalid option '--asroot'".

Gotcha.

TamCore commented on 2014-01-28 20:55 (UTC)

More or less, yes. At the current state of development both packages build exact the same binaries. But if you prefer stable versions, you should stick to my package. His would rebuild (if you're using for ex. yaourt) every time the upstream repo changes.

Kakashi-sensei commented on 2014-01-28 10:30 (UTC)

Thanks! Although, I'm confused...isn't jmtpfs-git essentially a clone of this package?

TamCore commented on 2014-01-25 13:00 (UTC)

Updated. Sorry for the delay.

Kakashi-sensei commented on 2014-01-25 00:32 (UTC)

Hey, is this going to be updated?

heddson commented on 2014-01-08 23:49 (UTC)

The new version is at https://github.com/JasonFerrara/jmtpfs/archive/v0.5.tar.gz

That sed line belongs in a separate prepare() function. Also, this is personal preference, but all those functions start in $srcdir, you don't need to include it in the `cd` lines if you don't want. All the best,

TamCore commented on 2013-04-15 14:40 (UTC)

Fixed. Thanks!

sirocco commented on 2013-04-15 05:54 (UTC)

Please add cd "${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}" to package()

TamCore commented on 2013-04-14 15:45 (UTC)

Adopted the package and corrected the md5sum :)

Disowning for inactivity.

Hi, Url is now ok, but md5sums is wrong; Correct md5sums : md5sums=('e6bcade86da701a5d2b6f6bbc9b24e39') Thank you.

The source URL is still dead.

This is in desperate need of a mirror, I can't even download the file to see if this works for me or not.
