As 26.082 now works beautifully with my AMD R7 APU on debian and opensuse distros, I went ahead and deb-tapped .082 for my Arch install. libgl1-mesa-glx came up as an resolvable dependecy, so I borrowed that from debian as well. The install when smoothly afterward.

Yes, now license registration is working

Awesome_Donkey commented on 2020-01-11 23:26

This is likely fixed in 26.0.16 that was just released.,123710.0.html

JRWeb: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ipc server no longer running

It seems that cef is missing, but also on the original deb package dependencies list

@Awesome_Donkey I have problems in registering the product with my key: "there is a problem communicating with the license server" UPnP not working, I cannot find mediacenter from another computer.

Updated to version 26.x

Ok, I have added the new package jriver-media-center24

MC 24 is out.,115338.0.html

IMO, due to the upgrade cost between major versions, it might be best to add new JMC versions to their own specific package, e.g. jriver-media-center24

There's a 23.0.28 beta.

The main thing is changes to the way Media Center on Linux is licensed/registered. There's an issue on Arch (and other distros) with Network Manager having a MAC address randomization on Wi-Fi, which causes a loss of registration for Media Center (since part of it was it depended on the Mac address). This beta tweaks and fixes that issue.

You WILL need to reinput your registration key after updating to this beta build. I've been testing it on Arch for a few days and it's holding just fine!

The link is on a completely different (beta) repo.,111579.0.html

I cannot update until the end of the month, since I am on holiday...
However changing the version to the last one in the PKGBUILD should work fine.
