@antecrescent The issue in my situation was merely the environment variable not being set, as far as I could tell, so that's all there is to reproduce.

The environment variable fix doesn't work with programs that do their own weird stuff and end up clearing the env, sadly.

I built 1.5.0 for myself instead, and it doesn't have that issue at all, and runs well regardless of the environment variable. That's also a fix I guess lol

Junction is stuck on 1.6 until libadwaita have a stable 1.4 release and the package is updated to this version.

Hey, you most likely want to add python-gobject as a dependency for this package. I was facing https://github.com/enkore/i3pystatus/issues/314, and installing the package as listed in the issue above solved it.

v1.6 does not work, my DE is KDE, I also tried junction-git and got the same result, my journalctl:

Looks like it cannot find resource:///re/sonny/Junction/main.js here.

Also, I noticed that libadwaita dependency should be removed as it is no longer listed in modules anymore.
